Tuesday 4th October saw the Borough's annual Cross Country run, Valence entered 6 teams, Boys and Girls from years 4,5 and 6.
The course was 1.5 miles long around the open grassland of Eastbrook Secondary school and the conditions were dry but windy. Each year group took it in turns to run against their peers from 20 different schools from all around the borough. Valence's children were excited and nervous, we were going to do our best and push for medals.
- Year 6 children ran first and Valence had a 1st place finish from Chantel and 4th place from Robert.
- Year 4 were next and another 1st place from Maria and a 6th from Teddy.
- Year 5 were last with Amelie coming in 3rd and Jaymin coming in 19th.
- All our running put in their best! This showed in the team results with the year 4 boys and girls both gaining Bronze medals with the overall team results.
It was a fun and amazing experience for all and the biggest medal haul for Valence at Cross Country in years.
