On Thursday 20 June, we will be acknowledging World Refugee Day with the pupils.
The pupil Rights Ambassadors choose the UN Article for each month. For June, they have chosen Article 22, which states that governments must make sure that they have the same rights as any other child. Governments must help in trying to reunite child refugees with their parents.
To support this, we are joining in with World Refugee Day on Thursday 20th June World Refugee Day 2024 (link opens in new window) We have held special assemblies to help the pupils understand the plight of refugees currently.
Pupils are invited to bring in a donation (£1) which we will give to a local charity, and pupils can wear their own clothes on Thursday 20th june.
