The Big Schools' Birdwatch has officially started, and we'd love for you, your friends, and your families to join in the fun!
Birds play a vital role in our ecosystems, providing important economic benefits and serving as key indicators for scientists monitoring the health of our environment. By taking part in this nationwide event, you'll be contributing to valuable research that helps protect these feathered friends and their habitats.
Here's how you can get involved:
- Spend an hour watching and counting the birds in your garden, local park, or another green space.
- Record the types and numbers of birds you see on the downloadable sheet below.
- Share your results with us by bringing in your completed sheet by Friday 7th February.

Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to engage with nature and spend quality time together, but it's also a chance to inspire young minds about the importance of conservation.
Thank you for your support in making this project a success. Together, we can help protect our natural world for generations to come.
