Message from Mr. November 05/02/2021

As we end this week, I wanted to say again how proud we are to be working with you.

Remember that you are not home schooling your children, as that implies that you have chosen this, but, as we all know, this situation has been forced upon us by the pandemic. We as the staff continue to support you with remote learning, seeking to develop our practice week-by-week. Next week is the last week of this half term.

The Valence team continues to work to improve our provision of care and learning:

  • The teaching staff are contactable primarily via ClassDojo to support you with home learning. We are increasing the number of recorded sessions in order to support learning, and most classes from Year 1 upwards are developing the use of Google Meet to facilitate a live interactive session for the class teacher and pupils.
  • The offices are open to answer queries and concerns you may have about FSMs, loaning devices, internet access, etc. Do not hesitate to phone or email. In particular, our Parent Support Advisers are available to help you (Vicky Goode at Bonham and Lynne Pollard-Page at St. George's).
  • We are now holding weekly Time2Chat sessions where you are invited to drop-in to chat with a senior member of staff.
  • The website is updated to reflect current issues and policies. You will also find the weekly assembly here.

Take care and stay safe.

Best regards.
