Athletics... 'Let the feet do the talking'. Our year 5 & 6 Track & Field Sports Team traveled to Barking Abbey School Leisure Centre to take part in the Indoor Athletics Competition on Monday 15th January.
Nine girls and nine boys represented Valence in competitive track and field events on the day. After all the points were added up following 24 events, we were excited to here our overall school position. Valence finished in 6th position out of 13 schools. Our nine year 5 and 6 boys impressed immensely at the competition, winning all the track events (obstacle relay, 1+1 lap relay, 2+2 lap relay, 6 lap paarlauf, over/under relay and the 4x1 relay) respectively.
Congratulations to all involved on a sporting, fun and competitive day out for our pupils involved.
